. ,f', X If I I The sun broke over the horizon. The campus was still. Cars began to filter into the student parking lot, gradually taking up the spaces closest to the school. The lines of cars began to lengthen and the pace quickened as radios blared and people scrambled for the remaining spaces as far away as the Aquatic Center or even Haggard Middle School. ' Already inside, students filled the hallways, some nervously looking for their first period classes, others trying new locker combinations. Self confident seniors mingled among classmates in the cafeteria. Teachers waited in their classrooms for the 8:30 a.m. bell to signal the begin- ning of another term.
