A sun breaking over .the eastern horizon, , a growing sea of cars in the Q parking lot, a seemingly endless stream of students into the buildings and a bell at 8:20 are all signs of the beginning of another day at PSHS. While the first few people trickle into class and exchange mumbled greetings, still others race 'into the parking lot in a gallant attempt to get a parking space close to the buildings. As the last few strogglers dosh to class, the 8:30 bell rings signifying the beginning of yet another one of the, 175 school days. i Suppressed conversation and blank. looks greet the first period teacher when he enters the room. Students attempt to clear the cobwebs from their minds and think about what the teacher is saying. Second period learning is most vivid. When third period rolls around thoughts turn away from educa- tion and toward lunch. The lunch hour, that much needed respite from the hourly schedule of school, is spent by most students off campus. Fast food seems to satisfy most appetites while others require gourmet foods. The parking lot scene is repeated once again as the tordy bell rings, ending lunch. Students' thoughts then focus once again on what the teocher says' and the morning cycle repeats. As the clock swings around to 3:15 students begin thinking of after school work or activities.
