fl-- There was a new Cat in town! Plano East Senior High had the new Cat. But Plano Senior High's traditional WILDCAT hailed proudly while hesitantly welcom- ing the East Side Panther. Many efforts were made to ease the expected rivalry. A plaque of friendship was given by our students to the senote of PESH, as the new school was affec- tionately nicknamed. - Together in mind, separated in form, may only luck you Hnd, and our friendship always warm. - At least for the first year, the two schools managed to get along. Shouts of Plano East! were heard at football games but were usually returned with yells like Plano is Plano, East or West. Even though there was some black and gold showing up between the normal maroon and white, both Cats were the some at heart.
