Student Council The Student Council of PHS provides a train- ing ground for participation ofthe student body and development of leadership while correlating be- tween students and the administration. The council made up of one representative from each home room, sponsored the Homecoming Queen election and dance, Twerp Week and the Valentine- Basketball social. Officers also attended the area Student Council convention in the fall. fha ',, Treasurer - Debbie Brayg President - Vance Maultsbyg Vice President - Mike Horng Secretary - Linda Pharrg Advisors - Mr. Millender, Mrs. Hickey, Student Council fficers Dear Students, The school year 1969- 70 was a busy one for the Student Council. Dances, special events, projects, and school problems provided many topics of discussion and action for our council. I feel that this was a successful year, not because of a momentous conquest, but because of the many smaller achievements that we made. After talking with other Student Council representatives of area schools, I am proud of the activity of our student council. This is due in part to the fine cooperation we received from the administration. For the most part, though, this activity can be accredited to the interest of the student body. This interest and concern must be continued to make a better student council in 1970-71. By electing responsible homeroom representatives and continually expressing their views to these people, the members of the student body can again have a progressive Student Council.
