Young people, this is an age of progress. Nuclear-driven ocean liners, jet planes, and high-speed cars on superhigh- ways have replaced the relatively simple industrial country of our forefathers. Yesterdays man with a shovel has been replaced by the bulldozer and other motor-driven equipment. Man-hour productivity soars higher every year. This should be a challenge to you. Would you not like to keep pace with the expansion of various types of services dur- ing the remainder of this century? Then you must find your abilities and aptitudes so that you may develop your mental potential. When this is done, you will begin to transform the old types of drudgery into mass production and you will have your part in making this the mightiest nation on earth. Dear Students, I count it aprivilege to write some commentaries in your yearbook. It is a wonderful picture of your many activities of school life. You will enjoy it now very much, but prob- ably not nearly as much as you will in future years. As time passes on, you will pick up this book to place a person that you only vaguely remember as one of your schoolmates.
