Class Prophecy Dear Aunt Mable My husband andltook a tr1p last month tourmg the Umted States We thought we wouldn't see anyone we knew but eve ry place we went we met up w1th one of our old school chums from P H S We decxded to go to New York f1rst and attenda ballgame The Yankees were gettmg ready to play a red hot ballgame Over by the dugout we saw a rather farrnhar look1ng face and sure enough lt was Joe Pr1de carrymg Yog1 Be rra s sp1kes After the game we went down and had a chat w1th Joe and found out he was marrmed to h1s school g1rl sweetheart LaDonna Dougherty He saxd they had one ch1ld and lt was a boy named Yog1 We found another of our chums Ruth Englehart was l1v1ng 1n New York She was marr1ed to the famous baseball player for the Brooklyn Dodgers Jerry Osmon Ruth 1nv1ted us to d1nner and we spent a very enjoyable even1ng v1s1t 1ng w1th them They were happ1ly marr1ed and had three boys C111 I C111 ll and G1ll Ill After leavmg them we dec1ded to go to the Metropohtan Opera House Wh1le we were watch1ng the show we were surpr1sed to hear and see R1ta Lang who 1S known to us as Rxta Dougherty She was very talented and we enjoyed her s1ng We heard that Sharon Ann Goodwm was a pat1ent 1n the hosp1talw1th a broken fmger and her prxvate nurse was Mar11yn Ess1g We found out that Sharon was st1ll hopmg for her one and only but Mar1lyn was marr1ed to an mtern We were soon on our way to South Dakota where we wanted to get 1n a lxttle huntmg After bemg shot at tw1ce by someone we d1scovered lt was Landon Orchard who was a hunt1ng 1nstructor He was marr1ed to one of h1s students and they had seven l1ttle pup1ls We traveled on to Nebraska through the beaut1ful country s1de We saw a large wheat farm and dec1ded to stop and have a look at the owner's great prog ress The owner was none other than Carl Orender We stayed all n1ght there and started our early the next mornmg for Cahfornla We stopped 1n Hollywood and looked around and guess who we saw? None other than Jane Passwater who was a mov1e star reporter and her husband Donnle Ke1th edltor of Esqu1re They now have on red headed Ke1th We left there and headed for Las Vegas to try our luck at gamblmg We stopped 1n at a bar and found out the bartender was Gene Dawson He was not marr1ed but he has h1s eye on all of the young d1vorcees from Reno We left Las Vegas and headed for Texas because my son wanted to see the Women's Army Corps We heard the fam1l1ar shouts of Patty R1nk as she was g1v1ng orders to her company She wasn't max-r1ed but was seemg a lot of a General at the Serv1ce Club Hart Equlpmenf Co Washungton 15 ! ! . As we were breezxng throughthe southern states we wanted to see Arkansas We saw a s1gn that read Fxsher s Dr1ve In We were hungry as It was get tlng near d1nner t1me so we dec1ded to stop and eat The propr1etor was none other than Karla Fxsher We found out she wasn't marr1ed yet but 1S st11l wa1t 1ng for .hm to t1e the knot We stayed there for awhlle and then left for V1rg1n1a Stopp1ng there we saw Kay Dougherty on the street We exchangeda few pleasant words and found out that she was an accountant at the R1chmond Courthouse She sard she was mar r1ed to a bus1ness man there and had three boys We traveled on up to Massachusetts because we wanted to see Harvard Un1 vers1ty Wh1le strolllng around the campus we bumped 1nto a m1ddle aged man w1th horn r1mmed glasses and h1s arms full of books As we helped the man p1ck up h1s books we not1ced lt was Professor Don Allen He was happ1ly marr1ed We started for home the next day and stopped 1n Pennsylvama for some s1ght seelng and ended up at Penn State College Wh1le tour1ng the classes w saw Dean Shelby Edwards She sa1d she was not marr1ed but I hear she has her eye on one of the Professors We drove on to Chrcago where the boxmg tournament was about to begm We Just got settled 1n our seats when the announcer announced the contestants R1tter The f1rst round began and w1th one punch R1tter won the world's heavy we1ght champ1onsh1p We congratulated Ralph and started on home We h1t Northern Indxana at 6 30 P M Wh1le wa1t1ng for the n1ght to pass we went to abasketball tournament Smce lt was the last game of the season every one was excxted part1cularly the coach We couldn't help not1c1ng the fam1l1ar face of Lyle Buse After the game we went down to congratulate h1m over h1s v1ctory He was marr1ed to Lana Green the ex tenn1s champ and they had three boys We journeyed on down to Lafayette and wh1le pass1ng a da1ry farm we de c1ded to stop and look around to see how da1ry farms were operated The owner was Darrell Eaton We asked 1f he was marr1ed to Janet Dougherty He sa1d he was and 1nv1ted us to spend the n1ght there The next mormng after spend 1ng a pleasant n1ght we were at last on our way home Th1s was our most enjoyable tr1p s1nce we met all our school chums We were glad they were all happy and do1ng very well We have our bags unpacked You wr1te soon and tell us all the news from Maple Grove Your darhng n1ece Sara Mane Prophecy wrltten by Janet Lawyer Karla Harbstre1t Ellen Osmon Hoeflmg Truck and Tractor, Inc Washington 16 ' : ll ' l ' - .ll ' S . - . . . . , e Stony Marcanio against Roudy Rough Ritter, better known to us as Ralph
