Gone will be the routine of classes, the fun we hacl, and the friends we made. It is the hope of the 1958 Cardinal staff that, as you glance through this book in years to come, you will be able to recapture those happy moments and to re-live this school year. PLAINVILLE HOTEL--Your Home Away From Home 2 1 r. C. D. Dean Principal To Mr. Dean, who has been high school principal here the past nine years, this book is affectionatley dedicated. During his stay with us, Mr. Dean has done much for Plainville High. Shortly after coming in l948, he was instrumental in helping organize Plainville Rural high school district No. 4. This project accomplished, he saw the need ofa new school building and in March of 1952 the new S600,000 Plainville Rural high school was dedicated. ln i955 the school was accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Perhaps one of the most valuable contributions Mr Dean has made to our school life is the influence he has exercised through his personal friendship with each student. He was never too busy to listen to our griefs, to advise us with our problems, or to reioice in our good fortune. The best wishes of the students and teachers will go with him when he leaves us this spring. PLAINVILLE TIMES-Your Local Newspaper 1 l l i x 3 l Vale Page Howard Siler Elmo Carmichael Mary Louise I-lambright Paul Cussen President Treasurer Clerk Board of Education Students, parents, and teachers appreciate the enormous amount of time, effort and judgment the board members are required to give in order that our school can operate efficiently.
