Push, pull, or get out of the way. SENIOR CLASS HISTORY The Senior Class of 1944 started in kindergarten in 1951. The following mem- bers of the class have spent all 15 years together: Dorothy McGhghy, Cleota Bair, Olive Ninemire, Richard Cermicheal and Wlater Slansky. When the class was finally ready to enter high school as Freshmen, the new students who joined were Norman Wise, Clarence Rempe, Bernard Vohs,A1bert Bryant, Richard Harrison, Dale Rempe, Glenn Keas, Berenice Staggers, Elaine Westlake, Norva Jean Shepard, and Arden Gilbert. Krysteen Jelinek joined from Palco in the sophomore year, and Norma Jean Ha- mel also from Palco, in the junior year. Berenice Staggers left at the beginning of the sophomore year and returned in the junior year. Maxine Simms, from Stock- ton, joined during the senior year. The class officers during the freshmen year were Guy Bemis, presidentgDeloras Boyer, vice-president, Roy Drouillard, treasurerg Dorothy McGhghy, secretaryg and Mr. Swartz, sponsor. At the beginning of the sophomore year the class elected Keith Harr1son,pres- identg Norman Wise, vice-presidentg Dorothy McGhghy, treasurer: Cleota Bair, sec- retary: and Coach Harrison, sponsor. During the junior year Cleota Bair was president: Norman W1se,vice-president Keith Harrison, secretary: Evelda Johnson, treasurer: Miss Smart, sponsor: and Miss Sawin assistant sponsor. That year the class presented a successful mystery- comedy, THE GHOST PARAGE, directed by Miss Smart. Later in the spring under guid- ance of Miss Sawln, they entertained the Seniors of 1945 at a patriotic banquet. The class chose to be led during the senior year by Norman Wise as president, Keith Harrison, vice-president: Richard Carmicheal, treasurerg Claude Bard, sec- retaryg Coach Wiegand, sponsor and Miss Caffyn, assistant sponsor. The accomplishments of the senior year include the production of the farce- oomedy, THE BIG BLOW-UP, and the publication of this annual.
