The schedule included seventeen games, about two more than usual. In the county tournament the Plainville Cardinals were eliminated the second night by Palco, who took first. The Cardinals won about half their games. With Norman Wise and Keith Harrison as co-captains, the team began the season with four straight victories. Everyone was sorry to lose Richard Carmicheal and James Hrabe from the line-up because of injuries. R. L. Morgan had his hands full at the games with collecting admission, playing in the band, and being trainer for the team. In appreciation the squad was entertained at the banquet given by the Chamber of Commerce in December. n January 15, the annual Foot- ball Banquet was held in the Methodist Church.
