County League e finals 24 1B BASED LL After winning the Damar invitational baseball tournament two years in a row, the Cardinal baseball squad are starting the 1941 season with the same thought in mind. Some of the boys who re expected to be big ogs on our nine this season, are Joe Stahl, Clarence Hageman, Kenneth Giggey, Keith Williams, Gail Harrison, Keith Hilgers, Harb Glick, Jimmy Allen, Elmer Glenn Petrie, Donald Vohs and Marvin lcCune. Everett Harrison, Fred Glick and Jack Wiley three players lost by graduation last year will be greatly missed. The Midgets winning six games and losxng none for the best standlng in the league. Our first team pla cad second in the league with five wins and three ltsses. The midgets won second place in the Ellis Invitation tournament and the first team won third place in the Damar Invitation tournament. All the seventh and eight grade boys were on the q uad with the following boys pla-ing most of the time on the first team Donald Jo hnson, Kenneth Daniels, Duane Benoit, Niland Clements, forwards Delmar Marston, center. Orville McCune, arl Wiklund and James Hrabe, guards.
