TWIRLERS Left to right Yvonne Verveke, Loulse Glick Cleota Bair Catherine Westhusin, B rnice Mock, Olive Hilgers, Mickey McDan1els, Phyllis Toelkes, LaVerne Kees, Barbara Lee Henn Our music department is to be complrmented on the fine work they are aooompli shing They are always willing and ready to do their part Many fine preformances also in surrounding communities During the summer the Cardinal band is kept, busy there are concerts twice a week and are enjoyed by everyone Many patient hours of practice are put in daily by the twirlers and band mem bers, many times in the early hours of the morning while most of us are just creep ing out of bed The result of this hard work and diligent practice has presented itself in music festivals where Plainville has taken her ple e among the leaders The credit for this progress is due to the untiring efforts of our music inst ructor, Harold E Smedloy We are lucky to have such a fine man and hope he remains in our school system for many years to come .1 VJ f J r! f 1 TN 591411 Z ...
