Burton has been a faithful student throughout his school years He. has made a good class debater, and assistant manager to the basket- ball team during most of his high school career. Dancing 1, Glee Club 2 g Cooking 3, 4, Photography 3 g Chess 3 4. james Francis johnson Swede Who likes potato ships? Swede likes potato ships. Swede is a very nonchalant, outspoken person. He takes over the arguments in Problems Class and enjoys himself doing it. He hopes to live a normal life, raise a family and have a good job. He's doing all right now in defense work. Basketball 1, Bowling 1, 2, 3, Chess 3. Emogene Judd jean She has an inpnite deal of wit. Emogene is friendly toward every one and her amusing wisecracks keep everyone in stitches. Her ambition is to be a typist and a general business woman. Home Ec. 3, Dancing 4. Frances Kata Fran Here is a romely lass we recommend, a happy, cheerful, willing friend. Frances is a debby dresser whose appearance is always pleasing. Her golden.locks are the envy of many girls. Cheerleading 1, 2, 3, 45 Girl Scouts 1, 2, 3, Dancing 35 Senior Debs 4, Bowling 3, 4, Lasana 4. Elizabeth Kloss Lizzy Good things come in small packages. Lizzy is a business girl and is always smiling and has a supply of jokes in hand at all times. Since she likes the Navy, her eye is on the Waves. Archery 3g Girls Athletics 3, 45 Girls League 3, 45 Photography 3g Lasana Club, Pres., 4, Dressmaking 4. Elizabeth Zane Knapp Betty A quiet charming lass, a new addition to our rlassf' Betty just arrived this year but for the few months she's been here she has made an impression on all of us with her quiet, unassum- ing ways and manners. This member of our class hopes to go to col- lege and major in Home Economics and we're sure she'll be very successful. English Club, Sec'ty., 25 Home Ec. 4, Arts 8: Crafts 4. 12

Roberta jeanette Fabrizio Bert Dorz't worry about it. Bert came to us in her Sophomore year, and with her cheerful ' smile has made many friends. Among her many accomplishments, she has proved herself an excellent roller skater. Robert Allan Gallagher Bob Humor is a great utility. Bob in his years at P. H. S. has been of great assistance to various athletic teams. His bright manner has always been a comfort and help when we were blue and it seems that he never has a melancholy mo- ment. Hemingway Lois Quietly Jlae rome! and goerf' J ' Quiet and indifferent, Lois has spent her four years at P. H. S. to marked advantage. Shy and unassuming, she has plans to become a - dressmaker in the future. We wish her luck. N' Girls Athletics 1, 23 Sewing Club 4, Drawing Club 4. K Y Annelies Heyne Alice Q p Thou Jmilert and art still. I Annelies has been.working at the bakery and draws many a cus- ' tomer. She's been a friend to all of us. Who wouldn't like to have ' her for a secretary? Masque 8: Gown 3, 4, Bowling 3, 4, Girls League 3, 45 Lasana Club 4, Girls Athletics 4. Frederick Hull Fred A willing worker, alwayr fun, striving laara' to get thing: done. Fred is cheerful, vigorous, and the girls have a queer charm over him. Little but powerful on the football squad. In baseball he is the Star Relief Pitcher. Football 3, 4, Masque Bc Gown 3, 4. Robert Hummel Bob Always on the go. Bob is full of fun when he is in school. He is cooperative and likes out of town girls. His shop courses will aid him in his future of being a motor mechanic in the U. S. Maritime Service. Bowling 45 Cooking 4. 11

Johnnie is an easy-going person, gets along well with everyone, and takes things as they come. He is very musically inclined and can play both the violin and the iano p . Glee Club 2, 3, 43 Class Vice-Pres. 33 Boys Cooking 33 Swing Band 3, 43 Orchestra 3, 43 Boys Chorus 4. Eleanor Lepore El Gentle from top to toe. Eleanor is quiet, cooperative and cheerful. Lichtenfels Apparel proelaimr the man. study in such fields as Law or Architecture. Arthur Lyons ' A little mitthief now and then. Ks .fr ..I-ichy., Bill came to Plainville from New Britain. just as his many other classmates he, too, did much to better our school. Eric Lundquist Swede The hour for putting away our hoohf har mme undelayedf' Swede enjoys Problems class. School is just another task. He's quiet when in a group. At present, his ambition is to drive a tank. Bowling 1, 23 Mat Club 53 Radio 43 Cooking 4. Art Art hails from Concord, Vt., started school at P. H. S. in his 1 junior year.
