“To provide quality education for the students of Plainview.” This is the goal of the Board of Education of the Plainview Independent School District. Made up of seven members, the Board has been charged witli such re- sponsibilities as levying taxes to main- tain the school system, setting its poli- cies, and making the final ruling on de- batable questions. Endless hours of con- centrated effort have been expended. Dr. Glenn Harrison, Superintendent of Schools, has served as Executive Offi- cer of the Board. He has been respon- sible for carrying out Board policies, and for selecting and working with per- sonnel. For him also, there has been no such thing as an “eight hour day.” Through the years, the Plainview system has been exceptional.
