A Cappella Presents “Hello Dolly’ HELLO DOLLY —filled with spirit and color--was meaningful entertainment for students and townspeople alike, on November 8-9. Robbie Wittner played widow Dolly Levi, a matchmaker in the gay nineties, who planned to marry Horace Vandergelder, portrayed by Mike Senter. Dolly courted Vandergelder under the pretense of matching him with New York milliner, Irene Malloy (Tisa Haberer), and caught her man. Cornelius Hackel (Ricky Son) and Bamaby Tucker (Tommy Culpepper)-- employees of Vandergelder—ran off to New York, where they met and fell in love with Mrs. Malloy and Minnie Fae (Sally Perkins), her assistant. How each interwoven love story is ultimately worked out, and they all lived happily ever after made for an unforgettable evening. Directing the production was Mr. John Woicikowfski. Dolly discusses Vandergelder's future spouse, as the shopkeeper does a bit of shop-cleaning. Townspeople bid a fond farewell to Dolly, on her way to visit the bright lights of New York. Dolly Levi listens to the pleas of Ambrose Bierce, played by David Wright, who needs her help with his girl friend.
