Initial Activities Set Pace or Busy Year Monday, September lst--the first day of school. The days were long and warm, and it was a chore to get down to the business of studying, Besides, the other things were more interesting. Study hall was a place to catch that routine nap in the afternoon, The teachers though had other ideasg they thought school was the place to come to study. XYfhat we really came for was extracurricular. Seniors got their rings and ordered invitations, Choir soon began work on the operetta, and if naturally we tolerated no small amount ot' class work. At any rate, these and other activities set the pace for a busy and wonderful year. 5 The halls are deserted until 8:30 each morn. Study hall is good for many things. -1:-,KQIL i M I SENIORS Get rings. order rs. Harris Starts th 6 Year nghtx V Wtlfh Studie 5. cfsfig .v n Choristers work on Belle of Bagdadf' .lif- l invitations. Plain View Rushing! Meeting deadlines! Cutting pictures! making identifica' tion, complaining-all these things went to make an interesting and happy year for the annual staff. Each of the eleven students did his part to make this year's one of the best annuals yet. Each worked hard, and each was proud to be a member of the staff. February 28th was a wonderful day for the staff-that was the final deadline date for the '59 annual. What did they do after that? Why they started on another annual, of course!-next year's. Ads already have been sold, pages planned, and another book has already been conceived. Susan Cross 54 '- ., FA. E I-4 .milf Rex Eatmon Virginia Bybee Ann Hamilton Nicki Bruce Madc White
