Beth Booker and liill Woods did excellent work in the cheerleading department in this year of good works and good doings The junior class also presented an assembly play at Christmas time which was an honor to the class The play entitled Why the Chimes Rang , was written and directed by Martha Dobson. The juniors honored the Seniors with a successful banquet carrying out the theme The 49ers The juniors were proud of their class sponsor, Mrs Louise Joachim, and their class officers Had it not been for the experienced direction of Mrs Joachim, the year surely' would not have been so successful In the year of 1948-49 it can be said that when something happened, there was a junior around The juniors were active in all phases of school activities such as the Plainsman, book store office work, student council, sports band and numerous other things Juniors of 1948-49 will surely remember this year in which they have worked so ener- getically and progressively, and have had so much fun They were good juniors and will surely be good Seniors.
