P esident Vicefljrcsident Secretary Treasurer BETTYE JANE EWEN BOB HORNE MAXINE BROXVN SAMMY HALL Senior Ciass History At last we have gained enough knowledge to be called by that dignified name Seniors! We are the class of '44 We are the first to have completed 12 grades of school. Under the sponsorship of Mrs. Snyder and through the Senior Executive Committee, the Senior Class has carried on the Senior business. At the beginning of the school year Bettye Jane Ewen was elected president of the Senior Class, Bob Horne, vice-president, Sammy Hall, treasurer, Maxine Brown, secretary. As our favorites we chose Maxine Brown and J. Waring Walker. We have been well represented in all organizations in P. H. S. such as Hi-Y, Girl Reserve, Cheer Leaders, National Honor Society, Football and Basketball teams. The Senior Play, Run Hero Runl' under the direction of Miss Fredice Mires, proved to be one of the most outstanding attractions of the year. On May 12, 1944 the Seniors enjoyed one of the best Banquets that has every been given, and we also had our Senior Picnic on May 10th. We, the Seniors of '44, are leaving P. H. S. and here we leave a part of us. We are depending on you underclassmen to carry on. Don't let us down. Keep the spirit of P. H. S. high for all who are leaving and those who are to follow.
