A chapter of the Future Nurse of America was established in Plain- view H.S, this year. Mrs. Elizabeth McNeil, the school nurse is the group's advisor. The objectives of the club are to aquaint members with the opportunities offered in the different tielcls of nursing through Elms, group discussions and Held trips. A major accomplishment ot the F.T.A. is to promote the idea ot cadet teaching, whereby students can get a true picture of what teaching is like by actually teach- ing the lower grades. Plainview H.S. has one of the most advanced programs on the Island. The club advisor is Mr. Jacob Arneth.
