The Gulls had an 8-2 record in league ploy and were 16-5 overall, The start- ing tive was composed of, Ste-ve Matuson K6-4i center, Larry Frei- berg i6-1' forward, Mike Berne 46-Oi forward, Ralph Tieri, 45-91 right guard, and Bob Redican 15-9i left guard and team captain. This year also marked the first season Plainview participated in the county tournament, Before losing to Mine- ola in the semi-final round, Plain- view beat Valley Stream Central, 63-57 and Roslvn, 71-65.
