The degree of pleasurethat we get from this annual depends upon the amount of effort and enthusiasm we put into this yea.r's schooling. I urge each of you to put your best foot forward at all times during these years ofpreparation. The real measure of a person is not what he can do in comparison to others, but what he can do in comparison to his own best self. Iwish to express my appreciation to both the faculty and student body for the very fine work that has been done this school year. Sportsmanship and teamwork ranked high among the members of each of the three teams. The Freshman Basketball Team completed a very successful season under Coach .Tack Pierce. The Cowboys B Team also exhibited some excellent ball handling on the court during the season. - The five starters on the Cowboy team were able to score in the double figures in many garnes. Throughout the school year, the banquets honor the members of various school organizations and classes. The juniors honor the graduating class each year at the annual Junior-Senior Banquetwhere a part of the entertainment is the class prophecy and will. This year, the Class of l957 enjoyed presenting Books and Crooks. The three act comedy depicted the lives of the students and school personnel of Alexander Hamilton High-a school headed by a bank robber who was the real principal's double.
