Among the highlights were the come-from-behind win over Riverside, the one- point loss in OT to Morris, and senior John Ivlow being named MVP in the Little Seven Conference. According to Ray Reks, the funniest thing that happened during the season was, Mr. DeSutter saying he would throw Adam Schmitz into a tree! This was prompted by an offensive line mix up. Mr. DeSutter is known to make statements such as this one in the β€œHeat of the moment (Ray Reks) and then everyone laughs and works harder. Chris Cozzi, Jeff Hiller, Matt DeSutter, Dan Anderson, and Ray Reks were named All- Conference, while Pat McDaniel, Ron Carey, Jim Knopp, and Adam Schmitz received special men- tions. Joe Mellon, Don Matthews, and Doug Schofield advanced to sectionals. At the end of the season banquet, MVP honors went to senior Jenny Larsen (for the fourth time) and junior Joe Mellon, while seniors Heather Garlock and Steve Donaldson received the Harrier Pride Award. Team Captain Scott Paquet said the funniest thing that happened during the season was, At the Benet Invitational when we snuck out the emergency exit of the bus and Mrs. Albright wouldn't let us back on! Part of their success is evident in their 2 year run with no losses. Kaneland broke that streak mid-year. Rachel Horvat received the MVP award while Julie Modzelewski was named Most Improved.
