The New Guys in Town Dr. Frederick D. Holliday Dr. Holliday, our Superintendent of Schools since July, 1981 came to us from the York School District of York, Pennsylvania. He served there in the capacity of Superintendent. He has received the following degrees: Bachelor of Science at Temple University — 1950, Ed. M. in Elementary Education Administration at Tem- ple — 1958, a Certificate of Advanced Study at Harvard University — 1969, and a ED.D. in School District Administration and supporting courses in Sociology and Urban Politics at Har- vard — 1970. From 1944 to 1946, he served in the United States Navy. Dr. Holliday has also won many mem- berships in such prestigeous societies as Alpha Sigma Pi, and Phi Delta Kappa, a Rockefeller Fel- lowship and the Vincent F Conroy Award from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. George B. Cury, Ed.D. Before becoming Principal in November, 1981, Dr. Cury served as Administrator of the alterna- tive programs and the Thorough and Efficient pro- gram at the Rand Building, a part of Montclair High School. His education consists of: Bachelor’s Degree at Columbia College — 1960, Master’s Degree at Teachers College — 1965, teacher certification at Montclair State College Fairleigh Dickenson University, Graduate work at Columbia Universi- ty, and a Ed.D. in educational administration at Rutgers University — 1981.
