Graduated with a B.S. from Kuntztown State Teachers College, Pennsylvania. Masters degree from Penn State. Member of the O-K Fraternity. Member of the Masonic Lodge of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Attended the Independant Christian Science Church of Plainfield. Teaching Career Taught All Boy’s school in Pennsylvania for 20 years. “A Bulwark of P.H.S. Faculty for 22 years.” Chairman of the Math Department (after Mr. Boyer). Math Curricular Convention Development. Conducted S.A.T. and College Boards for several years. Student Council Advisor. Four-year sequentral programs are offered in two modern languages i.e., French and Spanish. In addi- tion, the Language Department offers semester courses for beginning students in both French and Spanish. A two-year sequential program in Latin is of- fered for students interested in a classical language. 2. The students enrolled in modern language classes have the opportunity to practice and develop their audio-lingual skill in the language laboratory one period a week. 3. Furthermore, the Language Department offers a com- plete bilingual program in all the academic subject s for Spanish-speaking students who, because of a language barrier, cannot work well in regular English classes. 4. The vocal and instrumental programs are also af- filiated with the Language Dept. Voice Culture, Chorus, Music Theory and Band are the subjects taught in the music programs. University of Maine The Special Education Department Supplements the school by providing specialized curriculum and teaching for students needing ad- ditional or different instruction. By concentration on a student needs to improve academic, emotional, physical, or social levels the department can give the best type of education. Resource rooms, tutoring, small classes, and unique methods make this department a real asset to the high school. 19
