This group of young talented men has been playing together since 1977, not only they have performed in the jazz ensemble, but also on bans outside of school. Our saxophonist RICHARD LYNCH has definitely decided to study music and phychology in college. He anticipates a career as a performing musician. “This budding Quincy Jones” also has visions of composing and arranging for national T.V. : CARY POTTS, bass player, intends to teach instrumental music in addition to performing and arranging. Drummer, JAMES MACK, expects to enroll in Kean’s voted music department. He enjoys working with visual effects of stage presen- tations. The percussionist DAVID LEACH plans to take several music courses in college also. He too has had experience working with stage production. STANLEY STEPNEY, the pianist, is also college bound. Undoubtedly, some choir will benefit from his talents. VINCENT ROUNTREE, saxophonist, plans to couple his music with a career in chemical engineering. DAVID TRAWICK, saxophonist is probably bound for a slot in a big college band performing at half-time on national T.V. The “last of these Mohicans,” includes sophomore, JOHN RABY, who really plucks ... picks... and... strums the guitar. Already his creativity looms large! MATTHEW JOHNSON, trumpeter, and youngest of the group is expected to continue. He represents the other part of the core for the future Jazz Ensemble. 22 UL OO 00
