Earth We Are Really Accomplishing A Lot Are You Fishing For Piranhas? Since its origin 8 years ago, the EARTH Club has been one of the most responsible organizations in Plainfield High School. The purpose of the ecology group are three- fold: 1. to actively help restore our environment 2. to pre- vent further deterioration of our resources 3. self- education and awareness. Our program is activity orien- ted involving field trips, field studies, winter campout, spring campout, recycling and aquatic studies. The success of the club is illustrated by its many awards and commendations. It has been recognized by the Environ- mental Protection Agency (EPA), Daily Journal, Courier News, WERA, the Mayor’s office, and other state and local organizations. Any responsible students who wish to par- ticipate in an active, enjoyable and meaningful organiza- tion are always welcome to join. Ce : Earth Club Trips Are So Much Fun!!! Folk In it’s second year, Fans of the performing arts, F.O.P.A. has continued in its fine style of performing and writing for assembly programs. “The cone heads at Christmas” a production written by Desirie Folk, and Elliott Townsed, Miller Luck, Lenwood Bulford, Terry Tate, was received with enthusiastic applause and ar- dent praise.
