The Henry Banta Chapter of the National Honor Society aims to foster the ideals of scholarship, character, leadership, and ser- vice among its members. Membership in the Society is limited to juniors and seniors. The organization gave service to the school by lending assistance in various school activities, such as tutoring, coor- dinating the annual Red Cross Blood drive, and assisting with the Special Olympics Day program.

A-V Squad This group of students selected from a large student body is dedicated to exhibiting their talents in the technical field of sound, lighting and staging. The hours devoted to these endeavors are countless and require many afternoons of “setting-up” and evenings of “performances”. The A-V Squad are the unheralded heroes of almost all production that are held in the Plainfield High School Auditorium, both school related and non- school related. S.
