H. S., With its pleasures and its woes? 'Member the X's, the Y's, the Z's, With all their powers and roots, And all the rules we had to learn From that old blue Physics book? And when we get to thinking Of the old Physics Lab We Wonder how we ever saved What little sense we had! For after we had labored Until our heads were sore, Our paper would come back to us Marked down to very poor. 'Member the basketball team we had, And the girls' team as Well, And how we used to practice And give our ringing yells? And how we used to dance Right out in the hallways Whene'er we got a chance? 'Member the lively scraps we had When each class thought it was best 'Til the Seniors took a hand in And just showed up the rest? Dear Old High School. tho we're leaving, Our interests still remain, And we're ever, ever, waiting To share your toil and gain. Yes, we're Seniors now and leaving But you know We'll not forget: Our duties are not ended, We shall be loyal yet. We 'll always love our high school. Visions of great tasks accom plishedg Temptations met and victories won, Work begun, and glad fruition, Marking toil 'ere set of sun. On the steeps of Service, loyal, Girt about with danger strong, Comes to view our own brave classmates Seen amid the darkening throng. In the scenes of greatest conflicts, Where the struggles and press Of the foe's most stern resistanceg Stand the students of P. H. S. Four busy years we've toiled and striven, Faithfully, with heart and brain, To uphold our motto, cherished, And make unto ourselves, a name. eninr illlass nent This, in truth, has been accomplishedg As our thoughts through memory crowd, Eiiiciency is the slogan Of a class of which we're proud.
