7956 '7 I fs ml S Finally 1944 had come and thirty excited six-year-olds were starting to school. Our first grade teacher was Mrs. Ivy Geese. Remember when she made us take naps on the tables? In our second year Mrs. Anna Meade was our teacher. She taught us the more advanced numbers and words. Miss Angeline Barrick was our third grade teacher Our fourth year was the year the boys enjoyed most of all this far because of our teacher She was Miss Mary Heizer who was very pretty and she couldn't seem to keep the boys minds on the lessons In the fifth grade we had Mrs Martha Engle as a teacher She was well liked by everyone because of her cheerful and friendly ways Our sixth year was one we were all anxiously waiting for so we could be up stairs with the older k1ds Mrs Emma Knight was our teacher that year We were all very excited about getting into the seventh grade because we could change classes with the high school kids Mrs Ethel Thompson was our home room teacher and we all respected her very much With Mrs Joyce Jackson as our home room adv1sor in the eighth grade w occupied what had formerly been the science room but was now a regular class room D1dn't we think we were 1t when we reached the ninth grade and actually gotto choose our own subjects? Probably Mr Balthaser had a slightly different opinion of us though During our sophomore year w1thMr Donald Strothers as our home room advisor we caused slight commotions at times but as a whole we managed to keep out of any serious trouble Then in our Junior year we presented the class play No More Homework and with our advisor Mr Pearson pushing us a little we managed to produce a successful Junior Senior Banquet and Dance the theme of which was Garden of Parad1se Well at last we've reached our senior year although there are very few of the original class left All of us I'm sure have enjoyed working together all these years and particularly with Miss Barto our senior advisor who has given us the guidance we've needed throughout the year We hope to leave be hind us a record that will deserve the esteem and respect of future graduating classes ,-f 5 4- V' - w uf X Eager Begmners School Daze Dlgnlfled Gfadllale 17 . . .
