Placer College held their annual formal Christmas dance, entitled Skiers ' Ball, on Decem- ber 14. 1945. Don Bosworth, formerly a paratrooper, in the United States Army, was elected president for the second semester, during which Rag Day was held. Opening the freshman class of 1945-1946 at Placer College were the students whose pictures are shown above. Leonard Metz, first semester vice-president, and Betty Gietzen, first semester women ' s representative, were absent for the pictures.

Seventeen students qualified for the first semester at Placer College, with Jerry Rollins, freshman, leading the group with a grade point average of 2.97. Miss Elaine Mobley and E. S. Stoddard, advisors, arranged an initiation for the new members early in the spring. Can ' t Budget? —The Commercial Club will lend a hand. Reorganized this year for the first time since 1942, the Placer College Commercial Club, directed by E. S. Erickson and Earl Larson, held their first meeting in December, electing Pat Conley, president; Velma Taylor, vice-president, and Joanne Minton, secretary
