Beauties and Bosses Under the leadership of Mrs. Eloise Layn, the Stenos Club has proved to be one of the most aggressive clubs on the campus. Field trips to local banks and telephone company, a proposed trip to Sacramento and the State Capitol Buildings, are among their activities. President for the first semester was Lorraine Rodolfo; her officers follow: Joan Magness, vice-president; Evelyn Malensek, secretary; June Teagarden, treasurer, and Tony Rocha, program chairman. Second semester officers: Leon Juarros, president; June Teagarden, vice-president; Marilyn Ayres, sec- retary; Joan Magness, treasurer; Harriet Gilbert, program chairman. The String Pullers Scraps of rags and beads, shades of forgotten elegance, all put together by eager hands, have produced the Puppet Club of Placer. Performances before Weimar Sanatorium, local organizations, and the general public, together with a raffle of Bo-Bo, the clown, were their activities this year. Officers for the school year were: Losey Huckoby, president; Lois Jackson, vice-president; Bob Forson, business manager, and Bill Durfee, secretary-treasurer. Kathro Frank is advisor to the group.

The Good Neighbors Buenas Dias, professor Morrill. With these words, the Spanish Club concluded an- other year. Memories of Spanish movies, gay siestas and fiestas, climaxed by a costume Pan-American Ball, still linger on. Officers for the first semester were: Barbara Cortopassi, president; Alice Lemos, vice-president; Dolores Navos, secretary-treasurer. r , ,, , , Second semester: Alice Lemos, president; Kenneth Colt, vice-president; Lorraine Rodolto, secretary-treas- urer, and Richard Cortopassi, sergeant-at-arms. Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Emil und Die Detektif was the title of a German language movie which was present- ed by the German Club this spring, under the direction of Mrs. Charlotte B. Madeley. First semester officers were: Bill Junker, president; Bob Fuller, vice-president; Barbara Brady, secretary; John Harms, treasurer. , ,, , , , , ,, , Second semester: Bob Fuller, president; Charles Morris, vice-president; Allalee Sands, secretary, and Nolo Negus, treasurer. Seventh Period Singspiel The Glee Club has no special purpose except to let those who must do some singing some time during the day do it in an orderly fashion. They have singing for their own pleasure every day seventh period, according to Advisor Carol Bond.
