Marisol . . . this is not a sleeping matter. Danny Martin, a graduating Sen- ior from Pius X is considering Loy- ola Marymount University or Uni- versity of the Pacific for further education in hopes of obtaining a re- warding career. Through participat- ing m football, as starting left guard, no. 66. Danny has gained more pride in his school. Although the season was not very successful, Danny said that it taught him a lot about life and himself. Besides his parents, Danny would like to thank Coach La Vigne, who has influenced his life greatly. Pius X has given Danny a memo- rable Senior year which he will not forget and he states, My years at Pius X have been a rewarding ex- perience, and I am proud of my Alma Mater. Lisa Manous, a graduating Senior from Pius plans to attend UCLA and major in commercial graphic arts. At the end of her senior year, Lisa has learned enough for her to be able to leave Pius X with a definite goal in life and has the ability to pur- sue it. Pius X has been a place where Lisa has been able to mature and un- derstand more about responsibility through her being Song Captain and ASB Secretary. She has taught her- self that she must set goals and work hard to obtain them. Lisa would like to thank her friends, especially Chantel Bigelow, for helping her find the true mean- ing of friendship: consideration, hon- esty and love. When asked what Piux has meant to her, Lisa replied, Pius X has been a growing experience for me through friendship, personal exper- ience and in understanding those around me.
