JR. RING This year the class of 85 experienced a unique and successful Junior Ring Cere- mony. Fr. Campion explained to the Ju- niors the meaning of their rings. For the Junior class it symbolizes unity and friendship, but for each individual it re- presents memories of the good and bad times. It also means the Junior class is no longer underclassmen. The class added extra touches to their ceremony, such things as reciting a poem which was writ- ten by Angela Hobbs, and the singing of our class song, Out Here On My Own, by Jenni Garcia and Angelica Bravo. Service . With academics at Pius being very demanding, the students also find time to help others that are of need and one may wonder - When do these things happen? Looking back in the past year, especially at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Lent, the students of Pius all contributed to the families in the surrounding parishes that were lacking the food or toys to make a wonderful holiday. The Student Council with the help of the Social Action Club, NHS and CSF, toys were wrapped, boxes of food and turkeys were bought and money was sent to help those that were less fortunate. Juniors and Seniors also provided one of the best things they could, and that was the gift of life. With organization and nervous Juniors and Seniors, the 3rd Annual Blood Drive was a suc- cess!
