Sodality leaders meet to discuss plans for making dolls for orphans for Christmas, Left to right: Phyllis Renaldo, Frances Di Pierro, Rebecca Buskirk, Lucille Bavaria, Mary Eleanor Caracio, Rosemary Valetta, and Donna Communale. at PXHS Spiritual activities at Pius X form the core of the curriculum. Some are traditional, like the blessing of class rings, the blessing of the Christ- mas tree, the annual retreat; others, like the various monthly projects of the Mary Help of Christians Sodality, are current. The weekly Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and reception of Holy Communion are the foundations upon which all others rest. All fulfill a need, subjectively and objectively, in that they nourish our longing for God and the things of God. What more could we ask? Collecting homework is a very important part of Father Loeper’s Senior Religion class. Frances Piergallini, Harry Kachline, and Joseph Duvo help gather the assignments.
