Walsh CM., teaches Latin I and II and Religion III and IV. He certainly knows how to combine business and pleasure. 75 With Our Famil The Salesian Sisters of Saint john Bosco teach here at Pius. Their order-congregation, it's calledgwas founded in 1872 by Saint john Bosco. There are more than 16,000 of them in the world and their congregation ranks as second largest in the Church. Salesians work on every continent except Antarctica-not much sense going there. Penguins wouldnt have any use for their services in the high schools, elementary schools, colleges, orphanages, camps, boarding schools, hospitals, missions, and leper colonies they run. Were classitied with the secondary schools, they tell us. But Sister sometimes looks at us pensively and nodding her head dubiously admits that there are times when she wonders just what kind of jzzifilfztmzl they're running here. Sister Superior Ida is the principal. She's pretty busy, but she always has time for us. The commercial department is her responsibility. She teaches Typing l, Typing ll, Steno I, Steno II. Bookkeeping, and a special 8 a.m. typing class for academic students. She is also moderator ol' the FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America. Soft spoken and smiling, she certainly gets around.
