THE THIRTY- NINE PITT CALENDAR September 7 — Many regrets — school starts! September 13 — Katherine Wallace requested to park chewing-gum outside Mr. Carter’s classes. September 15 — Politics begins! Senior Class organized. September 20 — Added attraction in History Class; Little Red Book-Case. September 22 — Annual Staff elected — T he PlTT progressing. October 4 — Margie Burks makes front row famous in Senior Classes. October 12 — The “ X atch-Dog’’ of P. H. S. forever on guard for the everlasting Skippers. October 19 — Seniors ordered to demonstrate their ability in the art of chewing-gum for Mr. Carter. October 27 — S :; Club enjoys after dinner Havannas; three for five cents! October 31 — School Halloween Party! Result: Many absent. (Hargrave Parade!) November 2 — Lillian Alice informs Miss Gillam that, I don’t understand it — er. November I I — Bravo ! ! Holiday ! ! Teachers Meeting ! ! November 15 — Amid blushes and giggles Calvin Bennett asked Mr. Carter why gentlemen prefer blonds. November 23 — 1 hanksgiving ! ! A few days of freedom. November 29 — Book-worms organize Beta Club. December 2 — Alice Pickrel declares to the Home Economics Department that her favorite dish is food. December 13 — John Wehry comes up in the world. Two Senior girls think he’s the cutest thing. December 15 — Mother and Daughter Tea. (Attended by Mr. Nixon and Mr. Carter.) December 19 — Bill Davis seen reading Betty Bly’s advice to the love-lorn.” Oh! Mary Charles ! December 21 — Christmas Holidays begin ! ! ! December 22 — Cotillion Club dance. Well attended by Jitter-bugs and “Love-bugs. January 2 — We plod the weary path again. January 5 — Seniors wake up to the fact that they have their rings. January 10 — Committees and Clubs functioning well. January 14 — Home Economics Girls served “Countre Folk. They hear, You look all right to me Baby! January 23 — Alonza Easley called “Precious. (Who done it?) February — Only 28 days ! ! Glory ! ! March 14 — Annual advisor saves Staff from afternoon classes. March 17 — Mr. Nixon is graciously received by his public. Oh, these handsome men! March 22 — Cotillion Frolic planned for April 7th. March 30 — Annual Staff works far into the night. PlTT goes to press. US —Pitt Staff.
