Top row, left to right: Miss Ledwell, Mavis Irwin, Marion Larson, Mary Gruber, Cathryn Ludewig. Second row: Bonnie Salter, Caroline Lipka, Arlene Duckey, Carol Robertson. FIRST SEMESTER President ss,,,S - C Bonnie Salter Vice-President C A -ear Joyce Yetter Secretary-Treasuf er C- Mavis Irwin The S. I. was organized by Miss Ledwell at the beginning of the school year. Eight girls were chosen from the Sophomore Biology class, who had an average of at least 88. If a girl wishes to remain a member of the club she must keep that average, if she does not she is automatically dropped. The club was organized so that the girls might become better ac- quainted with nature and outdoor life. The members have been active throughout the entire year, having SECOND SEMESTER President - -..see . Carolyn Lipka Vice President ee., Cathryn Ludewig Secretary -- ,e.. Carol Robertson Treasurer - -- I . .. Arlene Duckey taken part in the exhibits at the car- nival, having candy sales and going on hikes. The girls also have certain prin- ciples to live up to, namelyg honesty, courtesy, cleanliness, cheerfullness, helpfulness, and loyalty. The initials S. I. stand for a de- finite name chosen to signify the aims of the club. We have chosen to call the club by the initials so that everyone does not know its real name although they do know our aims. .. ....... ..... .,.................
