“The senior class of 1980 will not soon be forgotten. The past four years have been memorable ones. We put in many hours of hard work, but all the good times made it worthwhile. Our senior class officers were Judy Lowe, president; Krissie Haskins, vice-president; Robin Malcomson, secretary; Bill Myers, treasurer; and Janice Reeder, asst, vice-president. Our tremendous finances were the result of magazine, T-shirt, and candy sales. Our original, if not beautiful. Homecoming float followed our class’s tradition of placing no higher than 3rd place. The 1979 Homecoming Queen was Gail Gleckler and her senior attendants were Debbie Loutzenhiser, Judy Lowe, Robin Malcomson, Janine Maxwell, Dana McConnell, Jill Niebur, and Julie Hammitt, honorary attendant. In the Student Council, the class of '80 was represented by Roseann Davis, president, Lisa Burbridge, Rich Ellis, Tracey Halpin, Julie Hammitt, and Gregg Ratliff. This year we were privileged to have seven fine senior cheerleaders. These were Linda Booth, Jackie Dale, Jill Frazier, Gail Gleckler, Debbie Loutzenhiser, Janice Reeder, and Traci Yonikus. Also the senior Saukettes were Valerie Carlton, Mary Ward, Nancy Ward, and Nancy Jane Grimes, their hardworking leader. We couldn’t be prouder of our senior basketball players who brought fame to our class and all of Pittsfield by going to the state tournament. They were Bill Cummings, Terry Leahr, Don Newman, Doug Newman, Joe Petty, Gregg Ratliff, and Tracy Shelton. Winners of the DAR and SAR awards were respectively Julie Hammitt and Rich Ellis. Danforth Foundation Awards went to Judy Lowe and Joe Petty. A million thanks to Mr. Johnson for his advice, and hard work and for putting up with us. We would also like to wish the best of luck to the seniors of 1981 and we hope that all future classes enjoy their high school years as much as the class of ’80 has. 18
