26 This Senior Class is one to remember. It’s been our greatest year in high school. Our Senior Class officers of 1970-71 were Kevin Lowe, President; Gary Cox, Vice-President; Nita Stout, Secretary; David Chamberlain, Substitute Secretary; and Jerry Booth, Treasurer. To be gi n the year we sold magazines. Everyone was competing for high salesman. Eugene Myers was high salesman with Nita Stout running a close second. Our lovely Homecoming Queen was Debbie Roodhouse; she was crowned at the bonfire by Kevin Lowe. Queen attendants were Roberta Adrain, Pam Griggs, Wava Grimes Riley, Marcia Bergman, Cindy Smithers, and Manal Kumbargi. We had a great group of concession-stand workers and candy salesman who helped to add to the treasury. The Seniors were represented very efficiently on the Student Council by Debbie Ghrist, President; with Becky Quiller, Wava Grimes Riley, Cindy Berry, Steve Phillips, Mike Wade, and Charlene Dickerson. We had four Senior Cheerleaders on the cheering squad who did an excellent job this year. They were Joan Richards, Marcia Bergman, Cindy Smithers, and Sandy Harshman. The D.A.R. and S.A.R. winners were Debbie Ghrist and Jim Thorwegan. It’s been a great year, one I’m sure we will remember for years. Best of luck to all the Seniors in whatever they may do the rest of their lives and never forget the class of 1971!
