You'll never get my key! Wlilv FVi t tyu ttxrfl As their first project of the year the National Thespian Society produced and presented the Broadway hit Pajama Game. Expenses and profits were split between the Thespian Society and the band. This was the first time at P.H.S. for a play that was open to all students. The turnout at tryouts was very good. Work on the play started immediately with a reading rehearsal. Then came singing, dancing, and acting rehearsals. Because of the way the play was written there were a great number of scene changes required. This was done by chorus members who doubled as stage hands. The final rehearsals were during and after Christmas vacation. As January 31 came around, the play was shaping up well; a controversy arose over certain parts of the play, but rehearsals went ahead on schedule. January 31 finally arrived; until curtain time the cast had not seen or heard how large the audience was. The opening night audience was the largest ever seen at any play—but the Saturday night audience was even larger.
