MR, VOSHALL You are a fortunate and privileged group of students in having the opportunity to attend school in one of the best and most up to date school plants to be found in any community comparable in size to the Pittsfield area which the school serves. The Pittsfield Community High School is a splendid example of how four or five communi- ties can pool their resources and build a moderr school plant adequate to meet the needs of all the boys and girls living in the area, Parents and students of Baylis, Detroit, Pittsfield, Rockport, Nebo, New Salem, Summer Hill and Time are all extremely proud of the 1 educational facilities now afforded all these com- munities, It is indeed a significant day for education because for the first time in the history of pub- lic education in the area now represented by the Pittsfield Community Unit District No, 10 each and every boy and girl has the opportunity to attend school in a good modern, and up to date plant with an exceptionally good and well- qualified faculty, each a specialist in his field. We now have a High School with a curriculum broad enough to meet the needs of all the boys and girls who attend and an extra curricular program which gives every student an opportunity to develop his talents to the fullest extent, I SALUTE THE CLASS OF 1956 UPON THE HONOR ACCORDED IT IN BEING THE FIRST CLASS TO GRADUATE FROM THIS NEW SCHOOL PLANT OF WHICH WE ARE ALL SO PROUD. TO YOU WE WISH ALL THE SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS POSSIBLE! J.H. Voshall, Superintendent LEFT TO RIGHT: Wade Grimes, Ed- gar Richards, Mr. Voshall, Ronald Sidwell, Dean Sneeden, Virgil Parks, Arthur Browning, Clyde Hollaway.
