BILL BLAKE-Truly worthy of this award is Bill, four times recipient of the citizenship award. Not only is Bill adroit in presiding over the Senior Class and Student Council but he is also a valuable addition to the basketball team. CARRIE McCARTNEY—As outstanding in activities as she is in friendliness is Carrie. Her vibrant personality and courteous demeanor have won her the respect of all who know her. Carrie's loyalty to the Student Council, Nationol Honor Society, and Annual Staff has been appreciated by those who have worked with her. Citizenship Awards to Seniors At a spring meeting the Senior Class was asked to choose from its members those deserving of the high honor as winners of the citizenship awards. For the D.A.R. and S.A.R. awards, Carrie McCartney and Bill Blake were chosen by their classmates. For the Danforth Foundation awards, Pat Gard and Jerry Crawford were selected. PAT GARD—Certain to be remembered as a vivacious cheerleader and a capable president of F.H.A. is Pat. Always brimming over with good will and school spirit, her blithe disposition delights all who know her. JERRY CRAWFORD—Versatile in athletics, dramatics, and scholarship, Jerry has shown himself competent in completing any worthwhile service. His optimistic attitude towards life has inspired all of us to higher goals. 22
