SflllOR CLASS HISTORy FRESHMEN On the 2nd day of September, 1947, a class of 94 brilliant Freshmen entered Pittsfield High School. A great day in the memory of all Seniors is the Freshman initiation day. Our officers for our first year were: President, Don Dell; Vice-President, Dick Ransom; Secretary, Ann Williams; Treasurer; Dorothy Saylor. To help us through this difficult year was our advisor. Miss Gal loway. We eagerly awaited our Sophomore year so that we could watch the Freshmen and see how we looked when we were all mixed up and couldn't find the right room. SOPHOMORES We started our Sophomore year by electing officers. They were: President, Jim Rutledge; Vice-President, Bill Parks; Secretary-Treasurer, Louella Mas Dixon. To help us through this year were Miss Harpole and Mr. Brunberg . We all looked forward to next year when we would be Upper Classmen. JUNIORS At last we were Upper Classmen , and there were 93 of us to prove it. Our officers were elected as follows: President, John Petty; Vice-President, Beverly Lee; Secretary, Charles Butler; Treasurer, Carroll Loutzenhiser. Our sponsor was Miss McGuire. Under her leadership we planned a beautiful banquet which was centered around the theme, The Stork Club. Under the direction of Miss Bueker, we gave the comedy, Beauty and the Beef. The S272 which was profited was used to put on the banquet. We looked forward to the coming year when we would be the seniors of P. H. S. SENIORS With Miss Blaeuer as our sponsor, we returned to P. C. H. S. with 77 Seniors. We chose for our officers: President, Tony Roy; Vice-President, Duane Lyman; Secretary, and Treasurer, Lowell Hubbard. We are grateful to the teachers who have helped us through the last four years of our school days. We hope the other classes have as many happy days as we have had. 24

ANN SEYBOLD She always has a bright smile for everyone and is known and liked by everyone in school. Ann is editor of Saukee Scoops and Secretary of the G. A. A. She is also active in many other activities. EUGENE SEYBOLD Gene is well known for his football playing and his work in F.F. A. He is a hard-working member of the Annual Staff and Student Council. He is well known by everyone and always willing to help when needed. CITIZENSHIP AMDS TO SENIORS Each year the D. A. R. and the S. A. R. present good citizenship awards to the senior girl and boy chosen as the best citizens. This is a very high honor. They are chosen on their qualities of dependability service, leadership, and patriotism. The senior class of 1951 chose AnnSeybold and Eugene Seybold to be honored with these awards. The Danforth Foundation hasalso set aside funds to recognize potential qualities of leadership in youngpeople and presents them withcopiesof the inspirational book, I Dare You . The senior class chose Dorothy Glecker and John Petty for the award. DOROTHY GLECKER One of our sweet senior girls who always has a smile for you. Dot is the capable president of the National Honor Society and is a valuable librarian. Dot is well liked by all of the students of P.C. H.S. JOHN PETTY John is outstanding in almost every field, especially the football and basketball field. John was captain of the football team and belongs to the National Honor Society. He is well liked by everyone and succeeds in everything he undertakes. 23
