For graduate students in Psychology, the department offers courses leading to the degrees of Master of Science with majors in both psychology and educational psychology and of Specialist in Education for students majoring in school psychology. McKinney, chairman, Department of Currie ulumand Teaching The chief purpose of the Department of Curriculum and Teaching in the school of education, is to prepare teachers at the undergraduate levels for pre-schools, elementary, secondary schools and colleges. Horace Mann Elementary and College High School serve as laboratories where students observe experienced and competent teachers actively applying theory in the classroom. The graduate program in the department enables students to continue their studies in greater depth. 24

SCHOOL OF ARTS AND SCIENCES Dr. Witlis Tompkins serves as acting dean for the newly-created School of Arts and Sciences. This school contains the departments of Art, Biology. Business, English, Foreign Language, History, Home Economics, Mathematics, Military Science, Music. Physics, Social Science, and Speech and Dramatic Art.
