.l4 ! VVatcrmelon is always good! Foreword The 1965 KANZA is dedicated to the unity that surrounds the students, faculty, and activities of Kansas State College of Pittsburg. One of the most important functions of a college yearbook is to serve as a record of hap- penings of a school. But to the KANZA staff it is something more-it is an opportunity to put into use, and see almost immediate results, the creativeness that is latent in all human beings. The 1965 KANZA is this attempt to create, and preserve, the actual feeling of unity and spirit of the KSC student body. We all come as individuals, and retain our individuality, even though we are part of the greater whole-the school. As far as style itself, the 1965 KANZA has fallen into what is known as the traditional style. We hope the quality is better than tradi- tional. The KANZA is attempting a new format for the future publications of the sports section. It is felt that a proper coverage of the spring sports isn't possible due to the early finishing date of the KANZA. This year the yearbook will include only the fall and early winter sports, but the spring sports will be fully covered during season, for the 1966 KANZA. So the 1965 yearbook is dedicated to you- students, faculty, friends of the school. All of these must work together, toward individual goals but for the common good, so that the school can exist and be a vital part oflife itself.
