Through informal meetings, luncheons, and convocations three religious leaders brought their words of in- spiration to the campus. Rabbi Norbert Rosenthal, who serves with the Temple Israel, Tulsa, Oklahoma, spoke in convocation on lVlonday, November 14, l960. Besides being a rabbi in Tulsa, he is on the board of directors at a boys school in Charles, Illi- nois. Rabbi Rosenthal served in the Pacific as Chap- lain and was discharged with the rank of major. CG m p U S S h Dewey short reviewing troops guests 23 Soulima Stravinsky Assistant Secretary of the Army, Mr. Dewey Short, was on campus November 1, to review the R.O.T.C. corps. ln a formal review in front of Russ Hall, the secretary observed the cadet officers with honor and dignity. Earlier in the day he had spoken to an assemblage of military science students. The opening concert of the Chamber Music Series was presented November l. Soulima Stravinsky, son of the famous Igor Stravinsky, played many classical piano favorites. The Chamber Music Ser- ies, which features both American and European artists, is now in its fourth season.

Dr. Robert Young X4 , -fs-W yy! . p I Of? Dr. Robert Young addressed the convocation on Tuesday morning, Dr. Young is a minister of the First Presbyterian Church, Akron, Ohio. He has been active in the General Council of the Presby- terian Church and is chairman of two committees in the Council. ln addition to having been a Navy Chaplain, Dr. Young served as an instructor of philosophy of religion at Akron University. Wediiesdayf afternoon, Rev. George Garrelts, Chaplain of the Catholic Deaf in lVlinneapolis, lVlin- nesota, offered his dehnition of c'Who Am l?,'. Rev. Garrelts was ordained in 1942 at St. Paul Seminary. He has served as chaplain at General Hospital in lVlinneapoli's and has been Chaplain of the Catholic Physicians Guild of St. Luke. At present Rev. Gar- relts is editor of the Newman Annual. These three days of religious emphasis were directed by two student co-chairmen: Miss lVlarlene Gmeiner and Miss Carolyn Schelin. an Rev. George Garrelts
