RiirxroiD, 111. ■ ill] The Aim of the Domestic Art Department is to teach girls to dress properly and economically, to design and make their own garments, to make over old garments at little expense, to mend and keep garments looking fresh, to trim hats, and to decorate tastily the home. One paramount aim of the Domes- tic Art Department of this school is to prepare teachers to present the subject in the public schools, both in the grades and the high schools.

The Industrial Arts Department has made an enviable record in the past, and with our increased equipment and our modern Industrial Arts Building, we are now in a position to do even a better service than before. It will be the aim of this department to keep in the front ranks of educational progress in the industrial arts, and to continue to be the source of supply for successful manual teachers. The stand- m ard of preparation will be raised, and only thoroughly prepared teachers will be recommended forpositions.

The home and the school are the pillars upon which American institutions stand; and the proper correlation of these is the work of the coming years.
