Frank Wood planned to attend Stanford, UCLA, or UC Berkeley and major in engineering or mathe- matics. I want to make a lot of money doing something I enjoy that will have an important function in society, Wood added. Several seniors wished to join the military services. For instance, Lisa O'Conner wanted to first travel and then join the Air Force where she would earn her pilot's license. I am joining the Air Force for disci- pline and cultural exposure, O'Connor explained. Also, others wanted to work af- ter graduation. joe Siino wanted to work for his father in construction. By pursuing this course, he could earn enough money to attend col- lege. I want to go to college but I want to learn a trade first so I will have something to fall back on, Siino said.
