Young JV team has pride by Michelle Axel The junior varsity Pirate basket- ball team, an extremely young group of ball players, played with potential and pride. Pride was a key characteristic possessed by every player. They showed It on the court by playing tough defenslve and offensive ball. The team displayed more in- dlvldual basketball than team work. but they were all dependent on one another. Even though they lacked expe- rlence, these young men showed great promise. Coach James McLenna sald, This is a big year for them. They are gaining experience, and this year they should place 1st or 2nd in the DUAL. The team conslsted of junlors, Alan Heggerbaum, Darnell Brown. Herman Johnson, and John Solis, and sophomores, Raymond Hackett, Don- ald Hlnes, Archle Thompson, William Ollver, Joe Silno, and Bobby White.
