J V's season ends 10-0 by Patti LaCasse The junior varsity accomplished a record that has never been achieved before in Pirate history, a 10-0 season. The first 5-6 weeks of practice became a survival period. The team kept their commitment to do the best they can and came out winners. JV's surprised their coaches as well as themselves. Their total points for the year were 253 while their opponents only scored 42. They scored an average 25.3 points a game. The opposition never ran in a touch down. Coach Sam Quinones was very proud of his defensive team because the oppon- ent scored an average of only 4.2 points a game. The coaching staff included Herc Pardi, Quinones, and Jeff Gargalikes and they worked hard to prepare the team for the '84 season. Pardi commented, I enjoyed watching and helping the players develop. They were definitely a 'dynamic team . Lou LaCasses expressed, The coach- Ing staff Included the best coaches I ever had and I'II never forget them because of the winners they were.
