Frash dance attracts few by Tina Soliz Since I came to Pittsburg High as a teacher, l have never seen such a low attendance at a school activity, Mr. Frank Plzziment, Student Activities Dlrector, remarked to his Student Leadership class. However, the approximately 40 people In attendance had an enjoy- able time. For example, Todd Men- doza had flve girls dancing with him at once. Also, the DJ's were getting out on the dance floor and showing their stuff too. The dance was originally scheduled for December 14, 1984, but was changed to January 11, 1985 because of a conflict with the Plrateer Dance. The DJ's, Futuristic Beat Produc- tIon made everyone want to dance all night from 8-11 p.m. People could not seem to agree why so few freshmen attended their flrst event. Some thought the 2.0 rule caused students to be ineligible to attend, resultlng in eligible friends sittlng home also. Some people felt the lack of publicity caused the low support. 1.
